Chelsea are preparing a deal for out of favour Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez. The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for Suarez because Maurizio Sarri is a big fan of the 24-year-old midfielder. He finds himself on the fringes of the first team at Barcelona, managing just three appearances in all competitions this term.
After hitting a brace in last night’s Copa del Rey win against Cultural Leonesa, Suarez suggested he is ready to quit the club if he continues to struggle for game time. “I work to play and I do not have minutes, if I do not play… we’ll see,” he said. “I want to play, today I had fun and I felt good, at ease. I want to play as much as possible.” Chelsea, however, face competition from AC Milan for Suarez’s signature.
“Happy too for the people from La Masia who were able to make their debut. I was at Barca B for a year and I know what it means to come from the youth team. I think there’s a lot of talent in the youth side and that you don’t need to go elsewhere when there’s so much talent at home.” “I felt very good on the pitch. Today was an exam for me and I think that I passed this test, but let’s see if I’m going to play on Saturday.
