President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday returned from Makkah, Saudi Arabia, where he attended the summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Buhari who left the country on Thursday returned to the country around 6: pm yesterday.
Before departing Makkah, Buhari received in audience Chairman of National Peace Accord Committee and Former Head of State Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar. Also while in Makkah, Buhari held a bilateral meeting with President Idris Debby Itno of Chad.
Sequel to the meeting, Buhari will host leaders of Lake Chad Basin Commission in an informal summit on the side lines of Democracy Day and Second Term inauguration celebrations on June 12, 2019, in Abuja. The meeting will focus on bringing up new strategies to end the menace of Boko Haram in the Lake Chad region.
